SCULPTURES BY THE SEA 2010

In November 2010, we installed a piece at the Bondi Icebergs bar for Sculptures by the Sea. This piece could be viewed in the swimming pool after sundown. The movement of people on the balcony above the pool would cause ripples to appear visually in the water below.

The project was completed by urban future organisation. Project collaborators were Elmar Trefz and Philip Peltz. Thanks to FlyingFox.Films for putting together the video!

Development we did for Sculptures by the Sea 2010. We projected an interactive image into pool at the Bondi Iceburgs. Users on the balcony of the Bondi Iceburgs bar could interact with the piece by moving their body.

Technologies: This project was implemented on OSX using a C++. Frameworks used for implementation included the fantastic Cinder and MSAFluid libraries, along with OpenCV and OSC for control via the image processing client as well as an iPod Touch control interface.

Video of SxS version 1. This was off a small window size as I was capturing on my mac air. Its still pretty choppy in points. Will try to put up a proper version soon.
